AFL Cape York is committed to deliver long term career opportunities for participants of the AFL Kickstart program. This can come from AFL Sports Ready Traineeships which are offered to suitable applicants who have demonstrated role model qualities and commitment to completing Year 12. Generally trainees have come through the Crusader development pathway and scholarship programs which gives perspective Trainees, a good understanding of the healthy lifestyle and smart choices program which we conduct. In turn a new trainee goes from being a student of our program to a teacher of our program. AFL Sports Ready Trainees undertake Cert 1,2,3,4 or Diploma in Sport and Recreation courses which will give them qualifications to administer and roll out programs.
